The “Bubble” of the Lingotto in Turin. In the restoration of the Lingotto, architect Renzo Piano, placed a futuristic structure accommodating a glass bubble with conference facilities and a helipad. The bubble is made up of 416 glazed elements whose radius of curvature delicately intersects to form a glass ellipse. Max. base diameter mm 15,000. Height mm 8,000. Looking towards the future at 35 meters from the round, it brings together and sums up innovative technology and the endless possibilities of Hard Glass technology.
The diversification of the products ensures virtually infinite application possibilities. The creation of constantly new shapes for the architect’s use happily weds aestethic requirements with both strength and safety, thermal and acoustic insulation. Works never imagined before reflect the reality of our changing world and times.
GLASS FLOORS
Flat and curved laminated glass finds its application both in vertical works like balaustrades, partition walls, shop windows, elevators, and in horizontal works like canopies, glass roofs, up to glass floors that are capable to resist to different loads according to the customer requirements.
